On or Off Site Monitoring:
The unit sequentially monitors a set list of stations and continuously ensures that your broadcast network complies with both regulations and your expectations. With its Ethernet interface, the GOLDENEAGLE ATSC can be controlled remotely using the user-friendly software supplied or an SNMP-based network software package such as Audemat’s Broadcast Manager.

Status Page:
When first connecting with the remote software application a status page allows the user to see at a glance if there are any active alarms or problems. Snapshots of each available video stream (with auto refresh) give further assurance that the transmissions are functioning properly.

ON SITE MONITORING
Continuous Monitoring:
The core mission of the GOLDENEAGLE ATSC is to monitor one or more ATSC broadcasts, and immediately notify technical personnel of any problems with any part of the signal.Using a scan of the ATSC broadcast band, the user can configure up to 40 different channels for monitoring. The GOLDENEAGLE can repeat the scan process at regular intervals and notify the user of the appearance of new channels or changes in the strength of existing channels.
For each channel, the user can customize the parameters which can trigger alarms (RF, pilot and MER level), plus transport stream errors (1st, 2nd, and 3rd priority, PAT PID and PSIP errors, etc.).

Real Time measurements:
If alarms are received, or for testing and analysis of problems, a user can access the GOLDENEAGLE ATSC using the touchscreen on the unit or via a network connection to view and analyze data in real time. With tools such as constellation display, eye diagram and spectrum analysis, the unit provides detailed information from RF parameters to modulation accuracy.

MPEG analysis
Any transport stream that can be received can be streamed back to the user over the network (video and audio).

Recording:
The GOLDENEAGLE ATSC can be scheduled to record any stream from any channel at any time and the recorded video and audio be downloaded to a PC for viewing. A stream can also be recorded when an alarm occurs, giving technical personnel the opportunity to see what effect the alarm condition is having on the viewing experience.
Field Metering (option)
The optional Field metering kit includes a USB GPS and enables operation of the GOLDENEAGLE ATSC from the 12 V supply of a vehicle. RF measurements and GPS coordinates logged during the course of a campaign can then be exported for display in Google Earth.

NOTE: This option is not designed to make measurements while the vehicle is moving. It is designed to make it easy to make measurements at many different fixed locations, to analyze and troubleshoot signal coverage issues and user reports.
A turnkey solution
Combined with Audemat’s additional tools ScriptEasy, SCRIPTEASY EasyLink and Broadcast Manager, the GOLDENEAGLE ATSC can provide a complete network monitoring solution with remote control features.
The ScriptEasy application has the power to control and communicate with a large number of remote control units, while remaining accessible and easy to use.
SCRIPTEASY EasyLink is a powerful new tool that enables complete remote access of external equipment using serial protocols by linking the GOLDENEAGLE ATSC to an available serial port on that equipment. EasyLink is currently available as an option for Ecreso FM transmitters and the Harris Z, Platinum and Diamond series providing access to over hundreds of parameters and readings. Other brands and models are available on request.
