| Automatic monitoring | |
|
All parameters available for viewing in the RF and/or MPEG modules can be automatically monitored by the GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H. Thresholds and timeouts can be customized in a user friendly interface, for each monitored channel or transport stream. For each parameter, you decide whether or not you want to receive an alarm (by SNMP traps or even by e-mail).
If equipped with at least one RF input, the GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H can perform SFN monitoring*, based on the Channel Impulse Response. If any change is detected, (time delay, peak appearance/disappearance, level change), the GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H can automatically send an alarm. This allows, for example, monitoring of several SFN transmitters with a single unit. *: Optional |

| Measurements logging | |
| Remote measurement and analysis | |
| Measurements are stored in the GOLDENEAGLE and can be displayed on graphic or text representations. Real time measurements can be started by selecting any frequency or channel. All of the parameters available for monitoring can be measured (RF level, C/N, MER, BER, etc.), even the constellation diagram* , the Channel Impulse Response* and the realtime DVB-H parameters (errors, FER, MFER). *:optional |

| Expert Module* | |
|
The expert module enables in depth analysis of DVB-T and DVB-H transport streams. Based on a Transport Stream capture of 30s, the GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H decodes the data, offering powerful features such as SI/PSI table decoding and DVB-H burst visualisation.
DVB-T Table decoding and in-depth analysis The expert option decodes the SI/PSI tables and offers a clear tree representation. Every time a table is present on a chosen PID, a bar is shown, with a width depending on its duration. Clicking on a bar, you see all the contents of the selected table. You can thus double check that a parameter is compliant with the standards, or even find the source of a problem. The table content can easily be exported as a XML file. DVB-H in-depth analysis For DVB-H signals, the GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H offers many analysis features such as the burst display, IP layer analysis and comparison before and after correction. The DVB-H mode features the following capabilities:
*:optional |
|
| Scanning | |
| Thanks to this feature, the GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H can automatically identifiy all the multiplexes and channels in the band. The band scan can also be automatically monitored by the GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H, so as to detect any changes in the band such as new programs or new channels. |
|
| Audio / video streaming & recording | |
| The GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H can stream the video of a chosen program over the network. This feature is extremely useful for checking the signal when an alarm is received. Video can also be recorded on the internal hard drive. Recording can be launched manually or via a scheduler. |
|
| Full TCP/IP communication | |
| The GOLDENEAGLE DVB-T/H is designed to be used remotely, over a TCP/IP network. An Ethernet connector is available on the rear panel of the unit. The unit also hosts an embedded Website for basic configuration. A PC application is supplied for remote use and configuration. All alarms are stored in the event log and can be sent using SNMP protocol or via SMTP e-mail. |
