The modern way for FM field-strength measurement
Broadcasters need to measure their FM signal in the field, where their listeners are. Traditionally, this involved sending skilled engineers out with a map and a van full of test equipment to take multiple readings throughout the area. It was expensive, time-consuming, and subject to human error. FM Navigator 100 meter makes these surveys easier, faster, more accurate, and less expensive. We've combined a complete RF/Stereo/RDS/DARC measurement system with a sophisticated on-board control computer and GPS receiver, in a rugged case. No other equipment is needed in the field.
Field surveys ...as easily as driving a car
FM Measurement campaigns can be completely pre-programmed at the station. The field operator merely has to turn the system on and drive around the coverage area. As often as once per second, FM Navigator 100 meter measures the signal, stamps the data with the exact time and location, and writes it to a standard computer PCMCIA Flash Card. When the operator returns, the entire survey can be loaded easily into any spreadsheet or database program, or imported into Microsoft MapPoint or Google Earth
The easy way to check your RDS configuration
Check and validate all RDS parameters such as PTY, PI, PS, TA, ... great for testing and configuring your RDS encoder.
